BACKGROUND OF E-SCAN

Entrepreneur Consultancy BV was founded in 1997 by Martijn Driessen who saw the need for this unique service and whom along with colleagues in Dutch universities developed and extensively tested E-Scan More than 35000 budding and existing entrepreneurs have taken and benefited from the test and the number is growing rapidly The widespread adoption of the Internet enabled this service to be made available worldwide in a cost effective and beneficial way. The majority of users are in Holland and Belgium but the Internet has made it possible for clients as far away as New Zealand to use the service. In 2005 following market research and testing it was decided to develop an English language version aimed primarily at the UK market. Further plans include a US and Canadian version. The English web site was fully launched in October 2005.

The E-Scan service is delivered by Entrepreneur Consultancy BV based in Holland and all Internet payments are made through a secure payment system to that company. Our UK Company, Entrepreneur Consultancy Ltd was formed in August 2005 to promote E-Scan to intermediaries such as Banks, Enterprise Agencies, Business Links and Chambers of Commerce. They also provide email support to UK clients. As the founder of this company I well understand the pressures that a budding or existing businessperson is under. I was pleased to receive the Dutch national award of Start Up of the Year in 1997 but am even more pleased when I hear of clients who have used and benefited from E-Scan and whose businesses provide success for themselves, their families and colleagues.
